Bryanston, Johannesburg, South Africa
Designed for an art collector and decorator, the house sits on the site of 1000 m². The orientation and the vegetation have been the driving concept of the project. The L shape design allows for a limited footprint on the site and at the same time orients all the living spaces towards the landscape and the vegetation. The interplay of concrete volumes and void allows penetration of lights in the House in unexpected ways. This project explores the relationship between the built and the landscape.
